So, I skipped to the end hoping that there was at least some redeeming quality to the last chapter, but there was not. I enjoy a steamy scene as much as the next girl but trust me when I say that even after jumping chapters, the pages might as well have all been blank. From chapter 5 and beyond, there was NO story. Apparently, once Ilsa Ames got them married, her story became a hot boring mess of nothing. I’ve read this scenario a zillion times and usually love it, so, I really was up for a new one.

It was as if this author was going to write the ago old, hot guy needs to get married quickly and wants the quiet shy mousy virgin because he finds her mysteriously attractive, story and had no actual story to back it up. Between the reviews and the first 4 chapters I was excited to be reading it. First let me say I had high hopes that I’d finally found a keeper. I’m just trying to figure out why anyone would give this book any stars.
